Feathers Scarf
Here is the next scarf I have made over the Queen's Birthday long weekend.

I must say, this one goes with more of my clothes than the Rockery one. This one is made from Patons Feathers and is a little bit skinnier than the Rockery one also.

I am finally getting a bit of a scarve collection happening but I am sure more will be added.

Rockery Scarf
I am certaining into the knitting swing of things with another scarf finished. This one is for myself. It is made from Panda Rockery and I love it because it looks like little M and Ms have been knitted into it.

Oh, it is sooo warm.

Hannah's Scarf
Well, finally I have gotten back into the swing of things and with Winter now upon us I have completed a few scarves for not only myself but for friends as well.

Here is a pic of my friend and partner-in-crime, Hannah. She is wearing a cream scarf I made her in Panda Astraka Woolblend which I picked up at Franklins for fifty cents or one dollar a ball (I cannot remember exactly how much, it has been sitting in my stash for a while). She requested that it be long, so I used about three fifty gram balls.

Gotta go and get on a-knittin',

Operation Stash
In Australia we are prone to Cyclones. In March this year a number of our fellow knitters and crafters lost their homes.
Help someone rebuild not only their stash but their wellbeing by donating yarn, needles, or whatever you can to Operation Stash.

Please send your donations to: Operations Stash, C/O Threads & More, 141 Boundary Road, Barton QLD 4065.

I know I will be.

Another WIP now a FO!
Yeay! I have finally finished another WIP (work in progress). It has now become a FO (finished object)!

Glenn's cousin Jo, had a beautiful baby boy, Dylan James McCarthy, on the 24th March. He was given a little Baby Beanie from my very own pattern on this blog. A nice boy blue colour too.

Unfortunately, with my digital camera still MIA, will have to take a photo manually and scan to download onto here. Hopefully Glenn might take me shopping to get a new one. Hint, hint, nudge, nudge, Glenny!

BTW, hope to update this blog a bit more frequently as well.

Better get to it. In the process of knitting little Dylan James's big bro Luke Frank a beanie of his own.

Catch the pattern at: www.bevscountrycottage.com/bevsbasichat.html

Will keep you posted on it's progress.

I would like to try and finish it for the Easter camping trip Glenn and the boys are going to be taking in two days. Well, he might get it for next weekend....

Toodle loo.

Well I have finally gotten a chance to post the pic of my loopy scarf that I made ages ago.

Here it is.

I am not doing much at the moment knitting wise, but I am attempting to finish my workmate's scarf/belt for her birthday on the 28th December.

Wish me luck,

Danai

A project for me.
Well it is about time I knitted something for myself. I have decided on a scarf made from Patons Loopy. The colour is a blend of pinks, oranges and purples. I have used Patons "Simple Scarfs for Beginners", Loopy Garter Stitch pattern on page 3.

I cannot wait until it is finished. Once I finish this scarf I may make myself one in Patons Feathers as well. I will post a picture whe finished.

Anyhoo, will be off to finish this.

My second WIP!
Until Winter kicks in I have put the 12 ply blanket on the backburner.

I am currently working on a beanie for one of my little friends from cricket. (Yes, a lot has happened since my last post).

This Summer, my partner Glenn, played cricket and had a great time. A couple of his team mates have small children and I am making Blake, aged 19 months, a beanie. (A picture of it will be posted once finished.)
I have also made him a matching scarf.

The book I am using is Patons "Quick & Easy Baby Knits", book 6000. The pattern is on page 22. I am using Patons Big Baby 4ply yarn in light green (scarf colour) and mottled green (beanie).

Once I get organised a picture of the scarf will also be posted.

A lot has happened, like I said, since my last post. My great-grandmother, Thelma, pasted away on the 22nd October, 2004, she was 96. She has been a great influence, when it comes to my knitting. I miss her dearly and it was a very hard Christmas to get through without her. My grandmother, Betty, is great and she gives me a lot of handy tips and suggestions when it comes to "looking over my shoulder". She tells me that I knit very much like my great-grandmother and it makes me feel I have a little bit of her in me, especially when I am knitting.

Through Summer I have mainly been knitting in 4ply. I have made a hug-me tight for a work collegues baby. I will post that picture next week.

Anyhoo, I better get back to it.
